Three Questions

By: Fran Abrams

Why is the sun so hot?

Hell is not down. The sun is the home of the devil.

Does the moon have memories?

The moon remembers all that tides wash away.

Do the stars shine for everyone?

Stars shine only for those willing to wait

for the light to reach them.

Fran Abrams worked for 40 years in various positions that required her to write legislation, regulations and guidelines. After retiring, she began writing poetry to satisfy her need to write and as a refreshing alternative from her earlier pursuits. She has been writing poetry for 2-1/2 years while taking classes at The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, MD and attending poetry readings and open mics as often as she can.
