Tejan Green

                late summer

A cherry almond hush of early morning

enough to let memory dig itself into new ambition.

Three years parsed down

to choppy, woolly paragraph.

Moss thriving in our damp condition.

The way it ends is simply that

it’s never the way you want it,

the eggs.
